Meet Dr. Johnson,
Your All-on-5 Dental Implant Expert in Texas
Dr. Benjamin Johnson chose dentistry as his profession because it is a great family-oriented profession with the opportunity for a good balance between work, family, and church. After graduating from the University of Utah with a BS in Biology (2005), he attended Ohio State’s School of Dentistry and graduated in 2009.
In 2010, Dr. Johnson moved to Texas to work with Dr. Dale McCall (at what would become Acre Wood Dental). When Dr. McCall retired in 2011, Dr. Johnson purchased the practice and continued its tradition of excellent care while adding personal touches to grow it to the next level. His goal is to be the number one patient-centered practice in Central Texas – providing quality dental care while building lasting relationships with patients and their families.
Dr. Johnson was blessed with a flourishing practice in Waco and needed additional space to grow. Acre Wood Dental expanded by acquiring two additional practices in neighboring towns – Temple and Gatesville.
In 2016, he updated and remodeled Acre Wood Dental Waco – going from five operatories to 17 operatories. Then, in 2022, he started remodeling the Acre Wood Dental Temple location. These expansions would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the dentists, staff, and patients of Acre Wood Dental.

Dr. Johnson is a highly-skilled dentist who specializes in All-on-4 dental implant placement. Seeing the increasing demand, he created a new practice focusing solely on All-on-5 dental implant placement. AO5 Dental was born, and Dr. Johnson quickly became known as an All-on-5 expert in Texas. Dr. Johnson is passionate about restoring confidence and comfort for those suffering from tooth loss, and he looks forward to helping thousands of people achieve their smile goals.
Dr. Johnson and AO5 Dental differ from other practices and dentists because of their unique combination of experience and innovation. He has extensive experience performing high-end procedures but stays current with advanced techniques and innovations in the field. This experience allows Dr. Johnson to provide the best possible care for his patients – whether it’s dental implants or a more complex procedure such as All-on-5.
Dr. Johnson is a family man who loves spending time with his wife and children. He met Emily in high school, and they have been married for 21 years. Together, they have four children – Landon, McKay, Lindsey, and Macy. He is active in his church and enjoys attending and spectating sporting events, especially Ohio State games! Dr. Johnson also loves playing basketball and watching his kids play basketball.
